I'd eat ice cream every day if I only had a ...

A few months ago, I was invited to a Thermomix demonstration... which I wasn't really interested in to begin with... the fact that it makes risotto in minutes, ditto with soups, etc... didn't really peak my sense of culinary wonder... It didn't really accommodate the kinds of dishes I like to cook, and it eliminated the need for stirring (in the case of risotto) and chopping... which are two of my most favoured repetitive activities ever.

However, I love to have dinner at the wonderful Izakaya Den.  A dish I especially adore and always have while I'm there is the roasted rice ice cream... it's so beautifully smooth and omg, although the weather is currently freezing, it would be heavenly to have some now.

Anyway, I digress, I discovered that the good ppl at izakaya den use a pacojet to make this lucious ice cream.  A Pacojet is a "a dynamic professional kitchen appliance that makes it easy to prepare high-quality dishes while saving time, labour and reducing food waste".  Something about it's ability to whizz it's blades at 2000 rpms results in super smooth anything, and it's tiny!  I'm sure it does a thousand other dishes as well, but it would be my most heavenly ice cream maker.  I'd have it on the bench for gorgeous ice cream, everyday!  And if I had any change leftover from purchasing it... I guess I'd invest in a few pairs of elastic pants :o)
